Toyota Motor Philippines continues to dominates sales with a market share of 37.2% for June 2008, based on reports from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI). Total automotive market reached 10,772 units with an 11 percent growth despite the continued increase in fuel prices. Toyota surpassed this growth on a per month basis with a 20% increase in sales compared to June 2007. On a year-to-date basis, Toyota captured 36 percent of the 61,654-unit total market sales.
Toyota’s June leadership is evident both in the passenger car segment with a market share of 41.6% and the commercial vehicle segment with 34.7% of the pie.To celebrate this feat, Toyota gives everyone a chance to own fuel efficient vehicles. All of Toyota’s models operate with fuel efficiency using the VVT-I technology for gas engines and the D4-D technology for diesel engines.
The industry’s bestseller, the Innova, is offered with discounts of at least P30,000 up to P50,000, depending on the variant. This discount could also be converted to accessories, chattel mortgage, or LTO registration. Customers can either avail of this discount or the Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Financing Packages.On the other hand, some Hilux variants and all Avanza and Yaris variants have marked down prices with P30,000 off.
The Toyota Vios is the undefeated bestseller in the passenger car segment and carries the recognition of having the most efficient engine by the Department of Energy in 2006. The Vios is available with a discount range of P20,000 to P40,000 depending on the variant.
Making fuel efficient vehicles more affordable is one of Toyota’s many ways to thank its customers for making its 20 years in the Philippines an accomplishment.
